10.31 - Halloween Wednesday

Nothing particularly Halloween-y today except for the fact that I felt like death. Ha. Luckily, strong espresso in the morning and bits of candy throughout the day kept me going somewhat decently.

10.30 - Very Tired Tuesday

Ugh. I've been so tired lately, it's pissing me off. And I don't forsee myself getting a whole lot of sleep until Thursday night. I hate when I can't get enough sleep. It'd be cool if I could take naps at work like I used to back in the day-- but that's not possible at my current place of employment. Bleh. Along with that, food has been mediocre (which I suppose is a good thing).

10.25 - Too Many Cravings

Cravings kept popping into my head all week and I couldn't stop myself. So now I feel absolutely disgusted with myself. I really have no willpower. If a food thought pops into my head, I want it. And if someone mentions a certain food, I want that too. And it's not even the food that's a problem. It's the overeating-- like at lunch today. *labored breathing* It's a sickness, I tell you, and now my shirt buttons are ready to pop. *sigh*

THURSDAY, October 25th

+ a scoop of scrambled eggs with a dash of seasoned salt

+ an invidividual pack of Quaker Oats cinnamon roll-flavored oatmeal
Mid-morning Snack
+ 2 squares of Hershey's Extra Dark chocolate with cranberries, blueberries, and almonds

+ ground beef burrito suizo (meaning that it's topped with a layer of melted cheeeeese-- and, FYI, this was disgustlingly huge yet I finished it all happily)

+ oreo yogurt smoothie (with two mini Oreo cookies and two mini Salerno butter cookies)
Dinner
+ a small bowl of chicken soup (with chicken pieces and pieces of a random vegetable I can't remember the name of)

P.S. So, I have a new goal. One fattie meal a day. I weighed myself tonight and I gained 4 pounds in the last week and a half. That can't be a good thing. So yeah. One fattie meal a day. That's my limit. And I'm going to start going back to the gym again (after my nearly four-month hiatus). :\

10.24 - Barney Wednesday

Today was alright in the nutrition department. Not great, but not too bad (I think).

Amusing occurrence of the day: There's a new Starbucks by work that is doing the whole taking-down-your-name thing and I've gone there two days in a row now. So today, I decided to go by the name of "Barney" instead of "Ji." The Starbucks employee who took my order today happened to be the same one who took it yesterday, so he goes, "Oh, is this for someone else?" I shake my head, and he says, "Your name is Ji, right?" I smirk. I am amused. I tell him I just feel like being Barney today. I wonder what I should be the next time . . .

WEDNESDAY, October 24th
Breakfast
+ 1/2 butter croissant
+ scoop of scrambled eggs sprinkled with a few dashes of seasoned salt
+ grande non-fat caramel macchiato

+ chili in a sourdough bread bowl, topped with shredded cheddar (good cold weather food)

+ Filet-o-Fish (this is, by far, one of my all-time favorite childhood comfort junk foods-- mmm, I ate it in less than 4 minutes)

+ seafood pancit soup (I made it up-- it was pretty darn good)

+ 1/2 bowl of seafood-flavored ramen with two teaspoonfuls of cayenne pepper and two dashes of soy sauce (with a raw egg dropped in)

+ 1 small pinipig polvoron (powdered milk candy with crispy rice)

+ 2 more honey chicken wings (dude, they're addictive)
+ 1 small apple (not sure what variety it was, but it was good)

10.18 - Sleep Deprived

I have been horribly sleep deprived for the last three days. I was supposed to get some sleep last night, but I stayed up pretty late catching up with an old friend. Along with that, my pillow was too high, I woke up in the middle of the night to pee (and unfortunately ran into the mirror during that excursion), I had a crazy dream, and I kept hearing a weird ticking sound coming from the vent. Due to all this, I woke up with a terrible headache-- and the way I usually remedy that is with coffee and yummy food. So that's what I did this morning-- right before receiving an unexpected surprise.

THURSDAY, October 18th
Breakfast
+ McDonald's Egg McMuffin
+ medium iced coffee
+ scoop of homemade baked apple crisp (for a coworker's anniversary celebration)
+ 1/2 Cinnabon cinnamon roll (one should not refuse gifts of food)

Shortly after I stuffed my face, a package was dropped off at my desk. It was a sample from Walmart that I apparently requested (according to the package) for a diaper sample, of all things. It was a DIAPER sample addressed to ME at my WORK place! (?!?!?!?!?!) And it was hand-delivered by one of our mailroom guys!!











First of all, I definitely did NOT request it. Second of all, diapers have nothing to do with my line of work-- so it couldn't have been a fluke. Therefore, I have come to the conclusion that someone is trying to tell me something (again). Perhaps he/she is trying to tell me to stop producing one of my infamous food bellies (see below)? Still, I feel there are much nicer ways in which this could have been brought to my attention-- not involving diaper samples at work. *pout, sigh* Must...stop...eating...

SIDE NOTE: I hate that salad is so hard to eat. It makes me not want to eat it. The stupid leaves are always bumping against the side of your mouth or falling off your fork. If there was an easier way to eat salad, I'd probably eat it ten times more than I do now. So, I was thinking-- there are these Vietnamese spring rolls that are mainly noodles, greens, shrimp, and whatever else all wrapped up nicely in rice paper. How yummy would it be to start doing that with all types of salad?! If that were the case, I would eat salad all the time. So yeah. When I marry a rich man, I will open up an American-style spring roll restaurant and will become ridiculously richer than my spouse. For now, I have no millionaire prospects so please don't tell anyone about my ingenious idea.

10.16 - New Breakfast Place to Add to the List?

So, this morning, my breakfast buddy and I decided to check out Wendy's breakfast offerings. For a better idea of what those are, I have attached a picture here taken from some random website. Click on it for a close-up. To make a long story short, Wendy's breakfast = yucky, artificial-tasting, gas-creating blech. I'll stick to my tried-and-true McDonald's or Burger King breakfast, thank you very much.

SIDE NOTE: You may have noticed that I never seem to drink water. That's only because I figured I don't need to mention drinks unless they contain sugar or some caloric content. So, unless otherwise specified, I drink water with my meals. Also-- Minnesota water is hard, and it tastes like sweet egg-y soap. Due to this, I rarely consumed any water while on my fattie vacation this past weekend. In place of water, I ate pork rinds.

10.11 - Cold Thursday

So today is pretty darn cold compared to a couple days ago. Cold weather makes me want to eat till my belly gets all big and full. There's something very comforting about doing that. It kind of seems like I'm a bear or a woodchuck. Those suckers start eating like crazy in the fall, storing excess body fat for winter hibernation. Yup. Sounds just like me. Too bad I don't get to sleep for months at a time like they do. Anyway, here's a recap of today:

10.10 - A Food/Nutrition Log

I've decided to make this blog into a food/nutrition log. I am such a random, impulsive, and often excessive eater that I figured this might help me change my unhealthy ways. These eating habits don't seem to be affecting my health right now, but I'm no spring chicken. I could very easily see myself falling down dead on the El in the near future due to some sort of massive cloggage in my arteries. So anyway, we will consider this blog a proactive attempt at living a (hopefully) healthier lifestyle. Here goes.
